Nymphaea caerulea is a tropical water lily (water plant) and does not tolerate frost. Sow the seeds 2cm deep in clayey, nutrient-rich soil. The pots are then placed in a container with water so that they are located below the water surface. Requires consistently warm temperatures to germinate.
