Sowing & cultivation
Annual to perennial plant. Loves lots of sun. The lushly growing plants need a distance of approx. 30cm.
Sowing: Preculture. Germinates at approx. 20°C. The seeds are covered with a layer of soil 1-2 times as thick as the seeds. In the first weeks, prevent waterlogging. Plant strong plantlets outdoors. Slightly salty soils benefit growth.
When the aerial plant parts are cut slightly over the heart of the plant and the rosette is covered rain-protected, the root can hibernate in the soil and sprouts again the next year.
