Alexanders (Smyrnium olusatrum)

From antiquity until the Middle Ages, the plant was cultivated especially because of its tasty roots. But also young sprouts and leaves were used as a vegetable. Furthermore, it's a good spice herb for soups, which taste reminds of celery and lovage. Even the seeds can be used as a whole or used as spicy seasoning ground in a pepper mill.
