The chili cultivar Blue Christmas probably owes its name to its Christmas tree-like growth form. The leaves and stems of the plant are colored green-violet and the fruits are ablaze with color. They ripen from pink through purple to orange and red.
Partly, they are even purple speckled. Blue Christmas is a typical Capsicum annuum variety regarding its taste, with a slightly stronger hot component.
